We are a private, no-kill rescue in North Carolina. Our mission is to help end pet overpopulation, abandonment and neglect. We provide care and find homes for dogs of any breed, age or medical need.

As a rescue that takes in the ones other rescues refuse we have a handful of dogs that have spent most of their lives with us. They have been repeatedly passed over for adoption because of their breed, a health problem, or any other reason that is no fault of their own. Even worse, several were adopted and returned for various reasons after having gotten “too old” for most homes to consider.

It is our hope to keep these dogs happy and healthy and offer them as much comfort and love as we can. We can’t do this without your help! NMAR is a 501c3 non-profit, tax number 20-2212629, so all of your donations are tax-deductible.
